Physico-Mechanical Laboratory Service
Physico-mechanical laboratory is equipped with instrumentation to perform standard tests in accordance with relevant standards. Devices special character allow extra analysis and evaluation of textile products. The results are computerized, which is effectively prevented the possibility of data loss or misuse. In the laboratory, we can try both textile raw materials (synthetic and cellulosic materials) and semi-finished spinning, yarn (yarn, filament yarns, cords, cordage, ropes), planar structures (woven, knitted, straps, non-wovens, knits 3D).
Chemical Laboratory Service
Chemical laboratory performs qualitative and quantitative chemical analysis, material composition of the fibers, yarns, fabrics, determining health (water color fastness, abrasion resistance, perspiration pH of the aqueous extract content free and hydrolyzed formaldehyde). Tests inter alia, fastness to washing, sea water, chemical cleaning and resistance to sweat and saliva.
Electrostatic Laboratory Service
Electrostatic laboratory is equipped with special devices for measuring electrical and electrostatic quantities of textile raw materials, fabrics and textile products in standardized relative humidities (part of the requirements of product standards protective clothing and clothing appropriate to the EPA space). This is a measurement of surface resistivity, internal resistance, triboelectric charging, the resistance between the measurement points and drop charge (fabric with conductive fibers or materials with surface antistatic treatment).
Research and Development Services
The research&development department’s activities follow up with the original orientation of the Institute for processing of chemical fibres (Ustav pro zpracovani chemickych vlaken, UZCHV), i.e. application research, development, consultancy and informatics in the area of wool-processing and textile industry starting from testing of new fibrous materials through processing technologies to testing of new technological processes and machinery, including testing of fibres and textiles quality. The activities of the research&development department are supported by a complete spinning, weaving and knitting technologies.
