SINUS Messtechnik GmbH
SINUS Messtechnik GmbH was founded 1990 and stands for robust, portable and flexible multi-channel measurement systems for the sound and vibration analysis. Our corporate philosophy of modular concepts and open systems enables us to offer an impressive product portfolio on a high technical level at fair prices, even as a small company. The Soundbook_MK2 family, in particular, combines our new 24-bit Apollo technology and the virtually indestructible Panasonic CF-19 Toughbook combined in a unique solution which allows extremely advanced real-time field analyses. Worldwide proximity to customers, component availability on short notice and quick service are ensured through our global sales network. Representatives in more than 40 countries are successfully promoting our products all around the world.
Since its foundation in 1990 the company SINUS Messtechnik GmbH has developed manufactured and distributed instruments and software for sound and vibration measurement. We cooperate successfully with several companies in Germany and abroad in order to be able to offer complete solutions at fair prices. This cooperation in development and manufacturing of innovative measuring instruments leads to optimized results in the interest of the user. SINUS Messtechnik GmbH is also a reliable partner as a supplier of complete electronic boards and devices that we develop, design and produce according to customer orders.
Sound and vibration analysis instruments
SINUS Messtechnik GmbH is an internationally established manufacturer of sound and vibration measurement equipment. Our brand equally stands for solidarity and modernity. We developed the first expert-acknowledged PC-based acoustic measurement system SYMPHONIE as early as 1996 and successfully marketed it with support from our partners. After HARMONIE and Soundbook we are able to continue this success story with our new measurement systems Apollo and Soundbook_MK2 and set new benchmarks for acoustic measurement equipment with the SAMURAI software package.
We provide our customers with a selection of sophisticated instruments, including a wide variety of software options for the most common application fields for sound and vibration analysis. Available options are for example environmental noise / event monitoring, building vibration, building acoustics, room acoustics / speaker systems, occupational safety (industrial hygiene), psycho-acoustics, sound power, noise source identification (sound intensity), vibration, frequency analysis, structural and modal analysis, vehicle noise (NVH), aircraft noise, multi-channel data acquisition, material testing, force measurement, etc. The possibility to expand the software with new options enables us to continuously open up new application fields.
After the PTB model registration of Soundbook_MK2 in Germany, Switzerland and Austria we now offer the only officially calibratable PC-based 2- to 8-channel sound level meter. We manufacture instruments for nearly all application fields for acoustic and vibration measurement equipment, from sound level meters to acoustic cameras.
Our corporate philosophy of modular concepts and open systems enables us to offer an impressive product portfolio on a high technical level at fair prices, even as a medium-sized company.
The application spectrum of our measurement systems is multi-faceted and requires a wide range of accessories. As a system supplier we provide a comprehensive portfolio of accessories and transducers from our own production as well as from associated companies. We support you in selecting suitable transducers based on you specific measuring tasks. In case a suitable product is not available, you may benefit from our in-house electronic and mechanic production facilities to create customised solutions.
One major component of our business approach is the complete development and subsequent production of OEM products for customers from various industries.
As OEM supplier we have been manufacturing a wide range of fully tested electronic assemblies and devices for several companies for many years. We use the different manufacturing documents from the individual customers to produce their products or manufacture assemblies which we have developed and documented on behalf of a customer. Our electronic manufacturing department delivers highest quality and flexibility at fair prices.
Our experienced team is able to manufacture and test a large variety of assembly types. Our sales team procures many different components in time and at reasonable prices.
Our electronic manufacturing facilities make us a reliable supplier and partner for many medium-sized companies. Our creative team will continue to provide you with innovative solutions 'Made in Germany'.
With the SOUNDBOOK measurement systems we currently offer the only calibratable, PC-based 2-8-channel sound level meter. We thus combine calibratability with the benefits of a PC-based multi-channel sound and vibration measurement system. Using the Soundbook_MK2 Expander our calibratable Soundbook_MK2 measurement systems may be expanded to up to 40 synchronous measuring channels.
During the first design attempts we already considered the difficulties of the dynamic measuring range. The instruments available on the market at the time only had 16-bit ADCs with a dynamic range of 80dB. Releasing the Soundbook, which was developed in 2005, we introduced the new innovative 'Extended Range' Technology. This method utilized two 16-bit ADCs for one measuring channel. With this we were able to provide a PTB-approved linearity range of 24dB – 135dB. Today, 24-bit ADCs are generally used, which ensure a sufficient dynamic range.
We are continuously involved in challenging research projects on our own initiative or taking part in support programmes of the federal government and the Free State of Saxony .
SINUS Messtechnik GmbH is constantly developing new products and solutions. We are always committed to fulfilling the needs of our customers. The requirements of our customers are key to our business and form the basis for our product portfolio. SINUS Messtechnik GmbH is one of the industry-leading companies in research and development, and we focus on the close collaboration with our strategic partners. Our proven measuring instruments are based on your needs and wishes. This has helped us to set benchmarks in the development of innovative new products time and again.
SINUS Messtechnik GmbH stands for German engineering and highest-quality, comfortable and easy-to-use measuring equipment. Our specialization on acoustic and vibration measurement equipment has finally lead to products as the SOUNDBOOK, establishing the image and the high ideals of SINUS Messtechnik GmbH. Quality is not our sole strong point, but also the high-quality design and flexible application of our instruments. Even under extreme conditions as severe temperature changes or mechanical shocks they meet highest standards. The high demands we impose on ourselves and our technological knowledge create instruments which are the ideal companion featuring highest reliability and endurance.
SINUS Messtechnik GmbH is one of the few German companies which manufacture their products in a highly vertically integrated process exclusively in Germany. With experienced employees and optimized manufacturing procedures we show that an economical and socially compatible production is still feasible in Germany. Therefore you may expect us to provide you with innovative solutions 'Made in Germany' also in the future.
Our in-house laboratory for climate, mechanical and EMI stress testing is permanently monitoring product quality from development to serial production. In our manufacturing facilities assemblies are subjected to manifold tests as: initial tests, in-circuit tests, temperature shock tests in a climate chamber and automatic performance tests. Traceability for quality documentation is safeguarded with a Barcode serial number on each PCB and component assembly.
To ensure the high quality of our acoustic instruments we usually apply for national model approval at the federal test institute Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB). The PTB verifies the construction of sound level meters to evaluate whether these instruments are fit for use according to Art. 3 of the Eichordnung (Verification Ordinance). After successful PTB type approval measurement equipment may be calibrated and used to perform public monitoring tasks, create certificates for public prosecution and legal proceedings or other official purposes.
In addition to the certification according to ISO 9001 SINUS Messtechnik GmbH, as a supplier, has repeatedly been audited successfully by customers in the rail transport and medical industries. Furthermore we have become an important technology partner for several innovative small businesses within the region.
