Hydrogeology - Special Packer Systems

Solexperts - Model FO - Multi-Packer Systems with Fibre Optic Sensors

Solexperts integrates fibre optic sensor technology into multi-packer systems. Fibre optic sensor cables are installed in our packer systems and provide local high-resolution data with distributed temperature and strain measurement.

Solexperts - Mega Packer Systems

There are almost no limits to the size and length of inflatable sealing rubber sleeves. Even large calibre boreholes or microtunnels can be isolated with the help of packer systems. For in-situ tests on a large scale, Solexperts Mega-Packer systems are now used up to 1000 mm in diameter.

Solexperts - Modular Mini-Packer Systems (MMPS)

Modular Mini-Packer Systems (MMPS) are mainly used for hydrogeological characterisation of excavation damaged zones around a tunnel or along a shaft.

Solexperts - Packer Systems for Geochemical Experiments

Geochemistry plays an important role in the storage of radioactive waste in deep geological repositories. The chemical composition of the host rock and groundwater is the subject of many investigations. The transport properties of the host rock and the influences of the construction and operation of a repository on the geochemistry are clarified in rock laboratory experiments. Especially on behalf of ANDRA and Nagra, Solexperts developed many special packer systems and new experimental techniques for in-situ geochemical experiments.

Solexperts - Sliding Sleeve Multi-Packer Systems

Since 2020 Solexperts cnstructs packer systems with sliding sleeves. The central tube of sliding sleeve packer systems is equipped with sliding sleeves. Slidign sleeves give access to the packed intervals and are opened and closed with a so-called shifting tool (see figure below left).

Solexperts - Model TDR - Packer Systems

Solexperts developed the TDR packer system to determine the water content in clay rock. Inflatable packer sleeves are used to precisely seal defined borehole sections. The packer system is retrievable and can be reconfigured or installed in another borehole. The TDR sensors (Time Domain Reflectometer) are emplaced in the packer sleeve. In this way. the sensor is precisely located and the contact between sensor and borehole wall is always ensured.
