The new ultrasonic welding cabin, ECOFLEX iSONIC, is available as a completely revised concept. The highlight here is first and foremost the working area: Individually tailored to match the application in question, it is now integrated as an interchangeable tool cassette in the cabin. The replacement of the cassette can be performed both from the operating side and also from the rear side of the machine.

Sliding table machines provide maximum safety and are ergonomically designed in the loading area, since this area is freely accessible. To machine the work piece, the latter is pushed to the back of the work area or into successive work areas. This is why these machines are particularly suitable for work pieces, which require slightly longer cycle times for ultrasonic machining.

Rotary indexing plate machines enable several processes to be conducted in parallel. They are used where there is a need for very short cycle times.According application, the rotary indexing plate machines are divided in two or three stations. Whilst the operator is loading the parts in the loading area, other work pieces are being machined in parallel in the other stations. This results in very short cycle times for series production.

Tool cassette machines have the advantage that the toolsets can be exchanged as cassettes. They are therefore particularly suited for the production of smaller batches of several different designs.Each application has its optimum machine design. Tool cassette machines with interchangeable equipment are available in different versions (e.g. RH and LH) for the economic series production of smaller batches. The tooling can easily be changed by changing the tool cassettes.

Flexibility in production is achieved by state-of–the-art robot technology in conjunction with highly developed ultrasonic equipment.Using its experience from projects already successfully completed, SONOTRONIC has the know-how to develop advanced robot solutions for small series runs as well as flexible production solutions on a large industrial scale. There are different ways efficiently to combine robot technology and ultrasonic processing.

The ultrasonic roll seam welding units of SONOTRONIC are suitable for continuous welding and for simultaneously cutting and sealing (Cutt&Seal) of synthetic textiles and non-woven fabrics.Ultrasonic roll-seam welding systems take the place of conventional sewing machines.  Because of the various weld geometries, both continuous welds of different contours and spot welds can be produced.  The latter are ideal for maintaining material elasticity, for example, when welding corsetry.

Finishing narrow fabrics has been fundamentally revolutionized and rationalized by the use of ultrasonic thermofixing machines and their latest technology.The use of highly developed ultrasonic technology for the thermal treatment of narrow fabrics does not only significantly reduce energy consumption but also the size of the machine. The main objective during the development of SONOTRONIC`s ultrasonic thermofixing process (UST) was maximum flexibility:As there is only a small amount of material in the machine during thermofixing, it is possible to process small quantities of material with the UST machine. The product and application-specific parameters can be called up at any time on the operator’s screen, so that the adapted stretching frames at the intake and exit can bring about optimum shrinkage or stretching. Several inline ultrasonic units generate the necessary heat for thermofixing and calandering inside the material without need for long pre-heating.

SONOTRONIC`s High-Output Ultrasonic Reactor increases the efficiency and yield in the treatment of biosolids. They can be adapted to almost all sizes of plants, thanks to the modular structure of the ultrasonic systems. The cost-effectiveness of waste water treatment plants or plants for generating biogases, from which energy can be derived, is improved considerably by the sonication of the biosolids, without polluting the environment.
