Spirit Environmental offers numerous services to ensure our clients are prepared when responding to emergency situations. Our experienced staff can help identify potential hazards by completing a thorough analysis of facility operations and developing detailed response action plans associated with those operations. Spirit Environmental not only offers the development of these plans, we assist in implementing these full-scale programs and conducting onsite training and training exercises to facility personnel. These services provide our clients with the knowledge required to familiarize individuals with their role in emergency response and enable them to successfully carry out their responsibilities. While regulations require written documentation of these plans, Spirit Environmental`s additional goals are to minimize the risks associated with emergencies and allow our clients to quickly return to normal operations.

Nepa Documentation Services

The National Environmental Policy Act (`NEPA`) requires all federal agencies to integrate environmental values into their decision-making processes by considering the environmental impacts of their proposed actions and reasonable alternatives to those actions. This is accomplished by preparing an Environmental Assessment and, if necessary, an Environmental Impact Statement of the impact of any federal decision or action that can affect the human environment. In their implementation of NEPA, most federal agencies have shifted the burden of developing the information necessary for such assessments to the applicant seeking permits, approvals or other actions on the part of the federal government. Spirit routinely supports our clients` needs for NEPA documentation through the conduct of specialty studies and analyses as necessary to comply with each regulatory agency`s unique permit application requirements.

Sustainable Development Services

Sustainable Development is the global environmental movement of the 21st century, and Spirit Environmental is ahead of the trend. At a time when other environmental consulting firms are beginning to add sustainability issues to their repertoire, Spirit Environmental offers staff whose involvement in “green” energy efforts goes back to 1990, when RCRA permits and requisite compliance requirements were first required for boilers and industrial furnaces recycling hazardous wastes as fuel.

Federal and state laws regulating the generation, storage, transportation, and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste are becoming more rigorous. In addition, we help our clients improve their environmental performance and manage their environmental activities in a cost effective manner. Spirit Environmental`s hazardous and solid waste management experience includes a broad spectrum of facility classifications that range from Conditionally Exempt Small Quantity Generators (CESQGs) of hazardous waste to Large Quantity Generators (LQGs) of hazardous waste and industrial non-hazardous waste generators.
