Pressed gratings are sturdy grids of bearing bars and crossbars made from steel strip. The sizes are extremely precise thanks to our sophisticated, computerised production process that also ensures the accurate coiling, straightening, punching and cutting of strip steel. The crossbars are automatically pressed into the bearing bars and enclosed by an edge, guaranteeing a rigid panel. As standard the V-edge is used, but it is also possible to choose a flat edge or T-profile edge.

Heavy duty gratings are made of thicker steel of 4 or 5 mm and have standard flat edging, with the edge thickness being the same as the bearing bars. The use of thicker steel greatly increases the load carrying capacity which makes these gratings ideally suited for extra heavy loads. Heavy duty gratings are widely used in industrial and residential building. Anti-slip serration is possible on both the bearing and crossbars of all types.

Full gratings are sturdy grids of identical bearing bars and crossbars in both directions, in line with the ‘full grating’ principle. The visual uniformity gives architects almost unlimited ways of producing exciting or playful concepts. Full gratings are frequently used as awnings and blinds, but also as railings or in fences. They can be powder coated in all standard RAL colours. The use of attractive colours transforms them into an intriguing element and makes them extremely suitable for incorporation in an overall architectural design.

These gratings type RO/ROM are sturdy grids of bearing bars and round crossbars whereby the round crossbars can be placed either on the top or in the middle. These RO/ROM gratings are mainly used for balcony and fences and are always made to exact design specifications. Creativity cannot be standardised. Straight or curved, with a range of options for the height of the bearing bars and the mesh pattern. With galvanised or powder-coated finish in any RAL colour, this is customisation at its best.

Platform gratings consist of robust pressed gratings. These gratings are produced with mounting strips onto which wooden or GRP elements are mounted. The bearing bars project approximately 2 mm above the wooden elements and are available in a variety of anti-slip versions. Platform gratings can be supplied in any required height or thickness and are constructed to form a continuous appearance when assembled. The range is also complemented with treads that can be fitted with the same type of wood.

Louvre gratings are sturdy grids of bearing bars and crossbars. The louvres (crossbars) can be fitted at an angle of 30º or 45º. The panels have a standard, 5 mm thick, edge bar to ensure stability and rigidity. Transparency can be varied by modifying the height of the louvres (crossbars) and the mesh width. This makes louvre gratings ideal as cladding, blinds or (privacy) partitions. Louvre gratings can be powder coated in all standard RAL colours and used as stylish elements in architectural designs.

Artdeck gratings consist of robust pressed gratings. By filling the mesh with coloured granulate (EPDM), the characteristic Artdeck surface is created. To ensure that this granulate filling does not shift, supporting strips are mounted. This granulate filling can also be used for stair treads. Artdeck gratings are permeable, sound-absorbing and have a rough surface. Artdeck is exceptionally well-suited for stair treads, bridge decks and platforms but these gratings can also add an architectural flavour to contemporary projects.

Staco stair treads and landings can be made from pressed gratings, perforated gratings, platform gratings, electro-forged gratings and GRP gratings. In addition to a standard range of stair treads, Staco also supplies custom-made straight stair treads, and stair treads for spiral staircases with or without landings.

Staco offers spiral stairs with treads made up of RR type grating. They are available in various diameters from 1600 mm up to 3000 mm in either a clockwise or anti-clockwise turn in self colour or galvanized steel. Spiral stairs are a perfect solution when you require a staircase in a confined or limited space where a conventional staircase is not possible. Applying themselves to both indoor and outdoor applications, the simplicity of their structure ensures fast and cost effective on site installation. All the elements like tube, treads or railing are tailor made.
