Stilmas has developed a wide range of ultrafiltration units, which may be used for different applications. In some special cases it is suggested to install an Ultrafiltration unit in the pre-treatment section of the PW plant. The typical molecular cut off of such kind of Ultrafiltration is 100 50 kDalton. This unit can be used as a removal step for bacterial content reduction, as well as a silica reduction. Stilmas design of UF units takes particular care of the wettability of the membranes, by providing a high internal water recycle.

Granting an extremely low conductivity, Stilmas Reverse Osmosis + Electro Deionization (RO+EDI) plants constitute a reliable alternative to the traditional double stage Reverse Osmosis for the production purified water. Stilmas RO+EDI plants are fully designed in compliance with the standards requested by International Pharmacopoeias. Stilmas standard plants can cover a range of production from 500 liters per hour to 30.000 its per hour. Smaller and larger sizes are also available on request. Stilmas pure water production plants are in full compliance with the Standard request of Pharmacopoeias.

The Mascarini Thermocompression Stills FA-HRS series and ThermoPharma Thermocompression Still BD series produce distilled water for injectable use which meets the requirements of the International Pharmacopeias including USP, EP and JP.They are also widely employed in many other industries such as: Food, Film, Electronic and Fine Chemical.

Material of construction: aluminium for body and rotor, nickel plated (chemical deposition FDA approved) to form a passive surface, inert to the aggression of the ultrapure steam, AISI 316L for the shaft. Rotor installed on two external bearings with FDA approved mechanical seals. Low/Medium rotational speed (less than 2000 rpm), implying low noise and a simple mechanical execution. Limited and easy maintenance.

Made of a bronze alloy, nickel plated (chemical deposition FDA approved) to form a passive surface inert to the aggression of the ultra-pure steam. No contaminants can be released for corrosion from the moving part of the compressor to the steam. Low rotational speed (less than 700 rpm), implying low noise and a simple mechanical execution. Limited and easy maintenance. Transmission between the two rotors by two gears placed in a separated gearbox, preventing any oil contamination.

The Pharmastill modular construction offers a wide range of configurations allowing optimum payback times. Standard models range from 60 to 22.000 lts/h output.
