Drainage Survey Service
Using Radiodetection & Ground Penetrating Radar (GPRS), Survey Systems are able to locate underground utilities services. This can be superimposed onto an OS Base Map, Topographical Survey or combination of both. Service avoidance using this data is a must for piling, ground investigation, building contractors & facilities or property managers. Projects can be often out last paint marks on the ground or continual developement of a site may require repeated indepth knowledge of a site when considering extensions or new build.
Underground Services
Survey Systems has dedicated survey crews which are trained in confined space practice (CP2) and are available for work in mapping of culverts, sewers and other confined spaces. Using Radiodetection, and the ability to contract Ground Penetrating Radar services, Survey Systems Ltd are able to locate underground utilities. This can either be 2D or 3D data superimposed onto a base map. Service avoidance using this data is a must for piling, ground investigation, building contractors & facilities or property managers. Projects can be often out last paint marks on the ground or continual developement of a site may require repeated indepth knowledge of a site when considering extensions or new build. Full 3D modelling of a project allows a contractor to use trenchless technology to install new services whilst avoiding existing services with significant cost savings over conventional trenching.
GPS Services
Global Positioning System or GPS enables the positioning of any point in a global framework through observations to a network of orbiting satellites. Originally designed for military use by the U.S., the information from these satellites was eventually made publicly available. At first the prime purpose was in navigation, but the surveying community soon realised that this technology could also be used for purposes of measurement.
