HACCP is a management system in which food and pharmaceuticals safety is addressed through the analysis and control of biological, chemical, and physical hazards from raw material production, procurement and handling, to manufacturing, distribution and consumption of the finished product.

OHSAS 18000 is an international occupational health and safety management system specification. It comprises two parts, 18001 and 18002 and embraces BS8800 and a number of other publications.

The EU Eco-Management and Audit Scheme (EMAS) is a voluntary management tool for companies and other organizations to evaluate report and improve their environmental performance. The scheme has been available for participation since 1995 and was originally restricted to companies in industrial sectors. Since 2001 EMAS has been open to all economic sectors including public and private services. Any organization, private or public, can participate.
