Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) is a technique for assessing the environmental aspects and potential impacts associated with a product, process, or service, by: compiling an inventory of relevant energy and material inputs and environmental releases, evaluating the potential environmental impacts associated with identified inputs and releases, interpreting the results to help you make a more informed decision.

Climate change is a significant and lasting change in the statistical distribution of weather patterns over time spans ranging from decades to millions of years. It may be a change in average weather conditions or the distribution of events around that average (e.g., more or fewer extreme weather events). Climate change may be limited to a specific region or may occur across the globe.

The European ECO label is a voluntary scheme, established in 1992 to encourage businesses to market products and services that are environmentally friendlier. Products and services awarded the ECO label carry the flower logo, allowing consumers - including public and private purchasers - to identify them easily. Today the EU ECO label covers a wide range of products and services, with further groups being continuously added. Product groups include cleaning products, appliances, paper products, textile and home and garden products, lubricants and services such as tourist accommodation.
