RT-qPCR Services
Reverse-transcription quantitative PCR (RT-qPCR) is ideal for a sensitive and specific gene expression analysis including microRNAs, other small and large non-coding RNAs, as well as messenger RNA. TAmiRNA is an expert in developing and applying RT-qPCR assays for various RNA types. Our microRNA platform takes advantage of target-specific LNA-enhanced (locked nucleic acid) forward and reverse primers with unmet specificity and sensitivity. We use this assay for parallel quantification of 1 up to 768 microRNAs per cDNA sample. The high sensitivity allows us to analyze low RNA input samples such as biofluids, cell culture supernatants, extracellular vesicles (EVs), and microdissected tissues without pre-amplification.
Small RNA Sequencing Services
For untargeted analysis of microRNAs and other small RNAs, next-generation sequencing (NGS) is the platform of choice, as it enables unbiased genome-wide characterization of small RNAs in biological matrices. At TAmiRNA we are fully dedicated to microRNA and small RNA NGS analysis. As we are working mainly with extracellular RNA in biomarker research, we have experience with low-input RNA samples such as microdissected tissue, various biofluids, extracellular vesicles (EVs, exosomes), and protein complexes. Our NGS services go hand-in-hand with our RT-qPCR services to further verify and validate NGS findings.
RNA Sequencing Services
TAmiRNA offers a fast, one-stop RNA sequencing solution – from your sample through data analysis. RNA sequencing technology is providing biological insight into the transcriptome. It can be used to determine the structure of genes, their splicing patterns and other post transcriptional modifications, to detect rare and novel transcripts, and to quantify the changing expression levels of each transcript.
One-stop-shop Characterization of Extracellular Vesicles
Due to their capacity to transport proteins, lipids, as well as RNA/DNA, EVs play an important role in cellular communication and are used as drug and biomarker candidates in regenerative and transplant medicine, anti-tumor therapy, and immunotherapy. TAmiRNA provides one-stop-shop services for the purification and characterization of EVs. We have established a large number of assays to study EV concentrations, size, decoration with nucleic acids and proteins, as well as DNA/RNA cargo. Our unique small RNA sequencing protocol allows determining absolute numbers of RNA molecules inside EVs. All our services are based on best practices released by the International Society for Extracellular Vesicles (ISEV).
