Emissions Treatment and Odor Control for Industrial Plants

Every given industrial emission flow (regarding pollutants and odour) is different, that`s why we always start from scratch and look for a custom made solution for every particular customer, keeping in mind to offer an optimal price-quality ratio. What we aim is a durable, easy to maintain, correctly dimensioned and flawlessly functioning installation. A thourough training of the maintenance personnel at site should assure a trouble-free functioning of the installation in the long run. In case problems occur nevertheless, a quick intervention is always guaranteed.

Odor Treatment Biofiltration

A biofilter is one of the most economic and simplest odour control systems available. For a good functioning biofilter however, several conditions are to be fullfilled. For biofilter applications, the filling material or biomass is composed of organic material such as bark chips, compost, peat, heath, coco, root wood, expanded clay granules, etc. in a well defined mixing ratio, or in several layers. This natural "filter bed" or biomass can be contained in an open or closed biofilter and is surrounded by a thin water film. Part of the pollutants in the emission flow directed through the biomass will already dissolve in this water film; part of the pollutants is retained by the biomass particles and the remaining pollutants will be further decomposed by the microorganisms present in the biomass.

TASK - Chemical Gas Scrubbers for Industrial Emissions Treatment System

Chemical gas scrubbers for industrial emission treatment (air pollution control and odor control). (VOC abatement with crossflow scrubbers and counterflow scrubbers). for separation of H2S (hydrogen sulfide), NH3 (ammonia), HCl (hydrochloric acid),SO2 (sulfur dioxide), RHS (mercaptans or thiols), CH2O (formaldehyde, formaline), amines, phenol, HNO3 (nitric acid), NOx (nitrogen oxide), EO (ethylene oxide).

TASK - Odor Control Scrubber for Industrial Emissions Treatment

Odour nuisance and odour measurement. Odour nuisance is a complex matter. In our densely populated country, companies are often confronted with complaints about odour nuisance.

Water

TASK - Physicochemical Wastewater Treatment Techniques

Industrial wastewaters from certain industries don`t meet the standards (eg. Vlarem in Flanders) for discharge, and certainly not for reuse as processwater. First of all, the toxic components have to be removed from the wastewater flow. Physicochemical wastewater treatment is a frequently used technique in the area of wastewater treatment. Physicochemical wastewater treatment techniques are applied for the removal of heavy metals, oils and greases, suspended matter and emulgating organic substances, organic and inorganic components, difficult to decompose non polar organic substances, toxic pollutants or high salt concentrations, phosphorus,... The physicochemical wastewater treatment techniques are used as pretreatment, final treatment as well as specific treatment for wastewater reuse as processwater.

TASK - Process Water Treatment and Membrane Filtration

Membrane technology - membrane filtration - water reuse - treatment and reuse of process water - degassing of liquids - membrane degasification. Based on the separative capacity of the membranes, there are mainly four different steps to be distinguished in the field of membrane filtration: microfiltration : separation of approx. 0,1 to 1 μm size particles (big proteins, yeast cells, microorganisms, …). Physical separation in function of membrane pore size. Possible applications in the field of wastewater treatment are e.g. : microorganism separation from wastewater, separation of oil/water emulsions, pretreatment of waste and process water prior to nanofiltration or reverse osmosis.

Equipment

TASK - Gas Scrubber for Storage Tanks

We offer special compact gas scubber for small flows. These are suited for storage tanks, laboratory exhaust, etc. Due to the very compact design, these gas scubbers can be placed everywere. The working principle is similar to that of a large gas scrubber, using a fluid to absorb harmful components from the exhaust air. These gas scrubbers can be used in the field of industrial air pollution control (separation of harmful components) and industrial odour control (separation of odour components).

TASK - Packing and Internals for Gas Scrubbers

Packing and internals for gas scrubbers and other applications. Packed columns are most frequently used to remove contaminants from a gas stream (absorption). However, packed columns can also be used to remove volatile components from a liquid stream by contacting it with an inert gas (stripping).
