About us
1894
- Kakuko Asakawa Shoten, a wholesaler of pharmaceuticals, is founded in Tokyo, Japan by Mr. Kobei Asakawa.
1946
- The company name changes to Tokyo Kasei Kogyo Co., Ltd. with a concentration in manufacturing and marketing organic laboratory chemicals.
1952
- Tokyo Kasei Kogyo Co. issues the first catalog.
1966
- Tokyo Kasei Kogyo Co., Ltd. opens a factory in Fukaya, Japan to expand production capacity.
1985
- American Tokyo Kasei Inc. (now TCI America) opens in Portland, Oregon.
1989
- The Oregon Research Center (ORC) in Portland, Oregon opens to develop new and innovative reagents.
1993
- Tokyo Kasei Kogyo Co., Ltd. opens a repacking center in Tsukuba, Japan.
1997
- TCI opens a sales office in New York, N.Y., to support customers on the East Coast.
1999
