EIH I Elemental Industrial Hygiene Courses

Updated in 2014, this self-study course is designed for EH&S professionals who wish to enhance their knowledge of the occupational health sciences (known traditionally as industrial hygiene).  You can use this outstanding study program for an in-depth review, to prepare for a certification exam, or simply to enhance your career opportunities. The study program is divided into 12 parts: 11 lessons and an online final exam.

EIH II Practical Applications of OEHS Math Course

This self-study course is a comprehensive course intended for IHs and other OEHS professionals. The course follows the book Useful Equations which covers topics such as: calculation and estimation approaches related to airborne contaminants, TLV and TWA, OA for dilution, fans, system testing, sound and noise, radiation, ventilation, statistics, ventilation, IAQ and more. The course workbook will illustrate how to apply 150 equations to the real world of industrial hygiene and OH&S. Each section presents practical applications, short case studies, and sample calculations, both manually and using the IVE AutoCalc Spreadsheet programs.

AIHA-SCHC SDS and Label Authoring Registry Preparation​​ Course

AIHA, in collaboration with the Society for Chemical Hazard Communication (SCHC), developed the AIHA/SCHC SDS & Label Authoring Registry Preparation Series for SDS and label authors to prepare for the AIHA Registry Programs Exam.
 

Developing and Maintaining a Laboratory Quality Management System Course

Updated in 2016, this self-study is designed to guide the student through a series of lessons on laboratory quality management system and quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) procedures. Participants will learn the basic elements required for an effective laboratory quality program and what is required to implement a QA/QC program. Information is presented to assist the participant in applying the QA/QC procedures to each phase of data production from preparation for sample collection through receipt of a final report in order to reduce or eliminate errors in the process. The course also includes information for ongoing evaluation of laboratory QA/QC programs that help ensure continued improvement in the program.   

Ethics for the OH&S Professiona Course

This course focuses on understanding how professional codes of ethics can be used in identifying, analyzing and resolving ethical dilemmas encountered by OH&S Professionals. It specifically focuses on the Code of Ethics established by the American Board of Industrial Hygiene (ABIH) for guiding the practice of Certified Industrial Hygienists. This is an on-demand web-based course offered by ENLAR® Compliance Services in partnership with AIHA®The course uses audio lessons, downloadable handouts and online quizzes.  The course materials will only be provided online. 

Exposure Assessment Strategies and Statistics Course

This intermediate self-study course introduces key concepts including: exposure groups, sampling designs, interpreting exposure monitoring data, Bayesian statistics and dermal exposure assessment. IH Analytical Chemistry Course

This introductory self-study workbook course begins to address the training gap among lab chemists and technicians who analyze routine samples but may have little or no specific training in industrial hygiene. Created by a toxicologist and chemist, Toxicology Training Online comprises over 5 hours of video presentations accompanied by lecture notes, copies of the slides used and other handouts. There is also a comprehensive list of online toxicological resources, a full glossary of terms, and comment boxes throughout the website where questions can be posted.
