The Waste Wizard compacts plastic, nylon, light cardboard and paper; using only a fork truck, tele-handler or fore-end loader. It has a simple but robust design, negating the need for electricity or hydraulics and therefore requiring no expensive servicing or maintenance. The Waste Wizard was designed, originally, for agricultural use, as an imaginative solution to a meet a specific problem, rather than a purely commercial enterprise. However, it is now also being used on light industrial and construction sites, helping to optimise the value of the waste-management process.
James Ringer first sketched out his plans for this innovative compactor-baler during 2007. He used his experience of well-engineered, hard-working, hard-wearing agricultural plant and machinery to ensure that the Waste Wizard would meet the demands of a robust yet simple mobile compactor-baler. Thorough product research and development was conducted with a number of the Wizards on trial on light industrial and construction sites, as well as on James’s farm.
The reason for this extended development period was two-fold: firstly James manages and runs a busy farm and therefore could only snatch periods of time from the Farm to concentrate on developing the machine and secondly he wanted to ensure that the Waste Wizard was thoroughly tested and properly trialled before its launch.
