The mixing system MA04 is a compact, self-sustaining mixing system, which is mainly used for small HDD rigs. The integrated drive unit, which has an output of 5 kW, provides up to 75 l/min of Bentonite drilling fluid. Within a few minutes, the mixing pump blends the drilling fluid at a circulation volume of 380 l/min. The MA04 is especially suitable for compact, mobile setups, for instance on a pick-up truck.

The compact and powerful Bentonite mixing system MA09 is an excellent choice for smaller fluid-assisted bore rigs like the GRUNDOPIT 40/60, GRUNDOPIT 6V, GRUNDODRILL 4X and other boring systems. The high circulation capacity of the mixing pump of 500 l/min ensures very quick mixing of the Bentonite fluid and only short interruptions during drilling. The small footprint of the system of only 1.45 x 1.40 m and an empty weight of only 370 kg make transportation simple.

The Bentonite mixing system MA010-D is suitable for all bore rigs with an on board Bentonite high pressure pump. The tank system is available with one or two mixing tanks, the 1,300 l/min mixing and circulating pump provides the Bentonite fluid in next to no time to be conveyed to the bore rig at 650 l/min.

The mixing system MA07 is a permanent Bentonite mixing and storing system for all fluid-assisted HDD rigs. The special tank and pumping system allows continuous simultaneous mixing and provision of Bentonite drilling fluid. The MA07 is available in two drive versions: MA07-D with integrated 28 kW Kubota Diesel engine and MA07-E with electric drive.

The drilling fluid consisting of Bentonite and water for HDD techniques has a number of key functions. It loosens the soil, discharges the bore spoil continuously, stabilises the bore hole, supports the free cut, cools the drilling tools and bears the product pipe. Its major function is bore hole stabilisation, however, as gravity exerts a permanent pressure on the horizontal bore and the fluid must protect the bore hole from collapsing and make sure that the loosened bore spoil is properly discharged. By adding Bentonite, consisting of natural clay material with excellent swelling properties, the drilling fluid receives these physical characteristics.
