Satellites Acquire Images

Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) satellites acquire images of the Earth’s surface by emitting electromagnetic waves and analysing the reflected signals. All SAR satellites travel from the north pole towards the south pole for half of their trajectory (descending orbit) and from the south towards the north pole for the other half (ascending orbit). As a consequence, the same area of interest is revisited along the two orbits with ascending and descending imageries collected over it through time.

SqueeSAR - Advanced Algorithm for Surface Displacement Detection Software

The most advanced algorithm for surface displacement detection, SqueeSAR is the latest InSAR technique developed by TRE ALTAMIRA for the detection of millimetre surface displacements, improving our previous PSInSAR algorithm.

Rapid Motion Tracking

Rapid Motion Tracking (RMT) is a recently developed technique for tracking rapid movement rates that exceeds those observable with SAR Interferometry. In contrast with SAR Interferometry, which measures motion using the signal phase value, RMT uses the amplitude value of the signal to evaluate the shift of recognizable features between SAR images. RMT is capable of measuring motion from tens of centimetres to tens of metres in both the line-of-sight and the azimuth (north-south) directions. The precision of this technique is in the order of several centimetres instead of the few millimeters attainable with SqueeSAR.

Support for the Interpretation and Integration

We make InSAR simple for you offering full client support for the interpretation and integration of your InSAR results.

Data Visualization and Analysis Tools

TREmaps™ is our web-based platform used to deliver, visualize and manage  your InSAR results. You can visualize them in 2D and 3D and make any data analysis through time series (single and multiple) in combination with dynamic filtering and polygon analysis, cross-section analysis, and export your data in SHP, KML, GeoDB and CSV. You can also use TREmaps™ for data integration from different information sources.

Historical Analysis Software

Archived SAR imagery is processed to measure historical surface motion. Satellites available for historical analyses. Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) satellites have been collecting images of the Earth since 1992. By simply providing us with your area and period of interest, we can determine which imagery archive is already available for a back analysis.
