Chemical products and separation technologies for radiation protection and environmental monitoring
TrisKem International SAS is an independent French medium size enterprise of a capital of 40.000 Euros. We develop, produce and commercialise chemical products and the associated accessories for radiation protection and monitoring of radioactivity levels in the environment.
Our product line, well known under the name Eichrom Resins, consists of extraction chromatographic resins which allow the separation of radionuclides (actinides and fission products) from various samples and matrices (environmental, medical and bioassay samples as well as waste samples).
Our products are a standard technology in radiochemistry used by international accredited laboratories and monitoring agencies.
The resins, currently commercialised by TrisKem International, are the result of R&D efforts conducted with the aim to respond to important and complex problems in the radiochemical analysis.
We will continue this research & development and extent our field of competence to the area of environmental monitoring of non-radioactive pollutants. We are developing our know-how in the aim to contribute with new applications and technologies to respond to the pressing questions of how to preserve and protect our environment.
Eichrom Environment becomes TrisKem International
After running the European branch of Eichrom for about 10 years and being in charge of the technical and administrative development, Dr. Michaela Langer, had the opportunity to buy the resin activity of Eichrom Europe and the right to produce the extraction chromatographic resins in Europe. Therefore she and her associate Céline Vignaud decided to create Eichrom Environment in January 2007.
Eichrom Environment becomes TrisKem International on June 1st 2008 with the aim to continue to provide the same high-level quality and technical support, but also to emphasis the research and development efforts which will be undertaken to respond to new and future needs in radiation protection and environmental monitoring.
The registered office of TrisKem International is located in Bruz at the Campus of Ker Lann, in the south of Rennes, the capital of Brittany.
The production laboratory is accommodated by the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Chimie de Rennes, on the Campus of Beaulieu and is operational since March 2007.
The proximity to the universities and research laboratories facilitate the implementation of R&D projects.
We are certified ISO 9001 since July 2007, with the aim to improve our services and our quality system to respond to our customers needs.
History – Activities - Competences
Since its creation in Europe in 1997, Eichrom has commercialized chemical separation technologies with high added value. The extraction chromatographic resins represent a new approach to the separation of radionuclides (actinides and fission products) from various sample matrices (environmental, medical, bio-assays and wastes matrices).
Our products have become the standard technology in the field of radiochemistry with methods used by accredited laboratories (AREVA, BNFL, CEA, NNC,…) and regulatory organizations (IRSN, IAEA,…) .
In 2007, Dr. Michaela Langer, managing director of Eichrom Europe SAS, had the opportunity to buy the resin activity of Eichrom Europe and the right to produce the extraction chromatographic resins in Europe using the know-how developed and patented by the American company Eichrom Technologies Inc.
TrisKem International at a capital of 40 000 Euros was created on February 1st 2007 with Dr. Michaela Langer as main share holder.

TrisKem International SAS pursues the production of extraction chromatographic resins in its production laboratory in Rennes (France) as well as the research and development of new technologies allowing us to beeter respond to your our customers’ needs.
Our Technical Support is dedicated to assist laboratories working in the area of environmental monitoring, and the determination and measurement of radioactivity. We support our customers in their research and development activities, and in implementing new applications and technical solutions.
Today, the TrisKem team works with laboratories in 45 countries in Europe, South Africa, Middle East and China, but also with an international network of recognized experts in radiochemistry on which the company relies.
TrisKem’s management commits to maintaining and continuously improving the high quality of the customer service and the manufacturing of the products. An important point in TrisKem Internationals strategy is the Research and Development. Our aim is to optimise our existing products and methods and to develop new techniques in the domain of radiochemistry with the goal to help you to face new regulatory and scientific challenges.
Moreover we like to extent our field of activities. It is our intention to use and transfer our know-how of chemical separation techniques in analytical chemistry to the area of environmental monitoring with the aim to develop new methods and technologies for the detection and quantification of environmental pollutants.
Current environmental pollution and various pollutants have reached a degree of sophistication which make the environmental monitoring extremely difficult. The national and international regulatory organisms focus more and more on the quality of drinking water, food and the environment in general to assure the protection of the population. In conclusion there is a real need of pre-concentration methods, separation and determination techniques for environmental pollutants.
