Troxler - Model Road Reader 3430/3440 - Moisture Density Gauge
The Troxler nuclear moisture density gauges are used by many contractors, engineers, and highway departments for compaction control of soil aggregate, concrete, and full depth asphalt. The gauges meet or exceed the ASTM standards D6938, D2950, and C1040. The operator selects the density measurement mode, backscatter, or direct transmission based on the material type and the thickness of the layer being measured. These updated gauges offer new standard features and many optional new features. The owner can customize the gauge to meet their testing needs.
Troxler - Model EGauge Combo 4540 - Asphalt & Soil Density Gauge
License Exempt, Troxler Accurate. From the inventor of the nuclear density gauge comes the ONLY combination nuclear gauge that is License Exempt!
Troxler - Model 4640-B - Surface Thin Layer Density Gauge
Recognizing the need for an improved method of measuring the density of thin layer asphalt overlays, Troxler developed the first true thin layer density gauge, the 4640-B Surface Thin Layer Density Gauge. Designed to measure the density of thin asphalt and concrete layers from 2.5 to 10 cm (1 – 4 inches), the Troxler Model 4640-B Thin Layer Density Gauge accurately measures the overlay density without influence from underlying material. No nomographs or manual corrections are required in order to compute the true density of the overlay. With onsite results available in as little as one minute, the Model 4640-B can provide the user with test results when they are needed, not hours after compaction has been completed.
Troxler - Model EGauge 4590 - Soil Density Gauge
Troxler now offers a license-exempt option for soil quality control testing. The EGauge uses the proven nuclear technology for density measurements unlike other non-licensed density measurement devices. It provides accurate and reliable readings and it is easy to use. The EGauge Model 4590 complies with ASTM D8167. This product is currently available for the US market only.
Troxler - Model 2701-B Plus - PaveTracker
The PaveTrackerTM Model 2701-B Plus is an electromagnetic density indication device for asphalt quality control measurements. This gauge contains no radioactive material, so no licensing or special training is required to own or operate this equipment. Your entire asphalt paving team could be ready to perform asphalt quality control measurements at a moment’s notice.
Laboratory Equipment
Troxler - Model 5850v2 Superpave - Gyratory Compactor
The Model 5850v2 is Troxler’s newest Superpave Gyratory Compactor and the most advanced, easiest to use gyratory compactor on the market today. Completely redesigned with improved electronics, a hydraulic motor, and software-adjustable angle of gyration, the durable 5850 will consistently stand up to the rigors of any asphalt lab. A built-in specimen extruder eliminates the need to lift heavy loaded molds. Samples are prepared, extruded, and cooled on the gyratory compactor.
Troxler - Model Premium Series - Wheel Tracker
The WheelTracker is manufactured out of about 93 percent stainless steel and it is used to test the wearability and water damage potential of asphalt mixes. By simulating roadway conditions in a controlled environment and using a Linear Value Displacement Transducer to measure deformation of a sample over 11 equally spaced points at 158 lbs. of pressure (adjustable).
Troxler - Model 3241-C - Asphalt Content Gauge
Troxler’s Model 3241-D Asphalt Content Gauge enables you to quickly, accurately, and safely test your bituminous mixes for asphalt content using nuclear methods. Used by transportation agencies all around the world, the Model 3241-D provides accurate asphalt content results in as little as five minutes.
Troxler - Model ICO NCAT - Oven
Just follow these five easy steps: (1) heat the asphalt sample, (2) weigh the sample and divide it across two sample baskets, (3) enter the sample mass, (4) place the baskets in the chamber, and (5) close the door and press a button to begin the test.
Asphalt Plant Equipment
Troxler - Model 5850 - Moisture Measurement System (MMS)
Measures Moisture Content as the Aggregate Moves Through the Plant. The MMS Model 3630 uses proven nuclear technology to continuously monitor moisture in your aggregate mix. The moisture measurement occurs as the mix moves through the plant on the conveyor belt. There is no physical contact with the aggregate mix or belt. The system provides a continuous reading of the moisture content. The moisture content, combined with the knowledge of the mass proportions of the other components in the mix, provides you with a precise and reliable moisture content of the aggregate.
