Urban Mining Solutions GmbH

Urban Mining Solutions GmbH

UMS’ origins date back to the very beginning of ore mining and dressing. In the mid-19th century. Since any recycling technology is essentially derived from mining, it was only natural that UMS, a successor to Germany’s renowned Preussag AG, began to focus on secondary raw materials recovery in 1991. Enhancing existing technology for urban mining applications, UMS has been introducing several unique recycling solutions since then. Today, UMS builds CORE machines and full-scope CORE systems to extract valuable materials from recycling streams for its international customers.

Our distinctive capability

We break up composite materials into individual fractions of high purity granulates, making homogeneous materials available for downstream processing. This enables users to realize higher gains on profit because each fraction can be sold at its real market value.

(COmmodity REcovery)

UMS’ extraordinary expertise stands out in the client- and application-specific engineering of machines or systems. UMS combines a variety of proprietary and third-party technologies to achieve maximum recovery of valuable materials. Increasing the purity and, subsequently, the price of separated products like aluminum or red metals means added value for the customer.
