V&F Analyzers
AirSense - Ion-Molecule Reaction - Mass Spectrometer
The model AirSense reflects the latest development step within the series of our analyzers based on the technology of Ion-Molecule Reaction mass spectrometry (IMR-MS). This analyzer is the multi-purpose level model focusing applications for non limited gas components, highest flexibility and robustness all in one.
CO2Sense - Single Ion-Molecule Reaction (IMR-MS) Mass Spectrometer
The CO2Sense has got a single Ion-Molecule Reaction (IMR-MS) mass spectrometer and is specially designed for monitoring of organic and inorganic impurities in CO2. The common specifications for CO2 quality for the food and beverages industry like ISBT and EIGA can be fulfilled with the CO2Sense.
PETSense - Single Ion-Molecule Reaction Mass Spectrometer (IMR-MS)
The PETSense offers a single Ion-Molecule Reaction Mass Spectrometer (IMR-MS) and is designed for fast and exact identifcation of contaminated refillable PET bottles. The PETSense analyzer is a so callled "RefPET-Sniffer" and has to be integrated into a master system. Usually we sell our PETSense analyzers as an OEM product through our partner Krones AG and they name their final product Aircontronic.
MotoSense - Mass Spectrometer
Today’s challenges in developing high performance, low consumption and ultra-low emission engine and catalyst designs demand very fast, sensitive and detailed emission monitoring systems. The V&F MotoSense serves as a powerful tool to study organic H, inorganic N or S gaseous emissions in raw exhaust gas and tail pipe by automotive and catalyst researchers. Fast gas response times of 20 msec and a high dynamic range of 1 to 104 enable detailed study of nonsteady processes.
LubeSense - Process Mass Spectrometer System
Engine oil loss is a severe problem in today’s engine development. Downsizing engines together with turbocharging, reducing piston ring thickness in combination with increased cylinder pressures result in engine oil loss. Minimizing oil loss requires knowledge of the engine states in which it occurs. Especially for transient engine operation real-time measurement instrumentation is obligatory in order to obtain time resolved oil consumption profiles. The V&F LubeSense has been specifically designed for this task. In combination with the V&F GasOxidizer oil consumption rates can now be determined online by means of the SO2 tracer method.
FuelSense - Ion-Molecule Reaction - Mass Spectrometer
Fuel that is mixed with engine oil has a tremendous influence on the lubrication characteristics of the engine oil and results in varied friction and wear behavior of engine parts. Increasing mass fractions of fuel components in the engine oil lead to a reduction on oil viscosity. This can lead to lower friction but increased wear. Especially for transient engine operation real-time measurement instrumentation is obligatory in order to obtain time resolved oil dilution profiles. The V&F FuelSense has been specifically designed for this task. In combination with the V&F LubeSampler oil dilution rates can now be determined online.
CombiSense - Mass Spectrometer
The CombiSense is a combination of an Electron Impact (EI-MS) and an Ion-Molecule Reaction (IMR-MS) mass spectrometer in one analyzer unit for a broad range of applications. This enables you to measure the main components in the volume percent range simultaneously with trace gases in the ppm and ppb level.
V&F Subsidiary Products
LubeSampler - Engine Lube Sampling and Fuel Separation
The LubeSampler provides a continuous sample of lube oil from the oil sump of a combustion engine. Small amounts of the oil and fuel mixture can be extracted periodically via a spindle valve to the partial pressure generator. There the separation of the fuel from the engine oil takes place. The content of fuel in oil can then be measured using the FuelSense IMR-MS. The operation of the LubeSampler is completely software driven and can be done manually or automated using the AK interface.
GasOxidizer - Conversion of Sulphur Components by Oxidation
The GasOxidizer is a software controlled tube furnace that allows to oxidize the exhaust gas of combustion engines. The GasOxidizer has been developed to permit a quick and time-resolved online measurement technology for the oil consumption of combustion engines.
AutoSampler - Offline Headspace Analysis System
The Agilent G1888 Headspace Sampler lets you automatically introduce volatile compounds from virtually any sample matrix directly into our V&F IMR-MS instruments. You control the AutoSampler using V&F software. It features an inert sample pathway for superior chemical performance without analyte degradation or loss. And its high sample capacity (70-sample tray and 12 heating oven positions) and increased sensitivity ensure excellent performance for a wide range of analysis.
