Engineered Valve Automation Hardware

VanAire - Couplings

ISO defines the coupling as “the driven components in a mounting kit that allow torque transmission from an actuator to the valve stem/shaft.” It’s the key transmitter of torque and should be considered as such. It is imperative that the coupling is designed and manufactured in a way that helps ensure alignment of the valve stem and the actuator drive; otherwise, it may result in premature failure of the actuated valve assembly.

VanAire - Fasteners

When discussing mounting kit designs, most of the concerns and conversations revolve around the strength and materials of the bracket and coupling. These components are indeed critical; however, when is the last time you discussed fasteners in detail? These often-overlooked components are trusted to unfailingly connect the bracket between the valve and actuator.

VanAire - Locking Kits

Locking kits are used with automated valves to prevent valve rotation, i.e. “locking out.” This device is engineered to keep a valve in a safe, locked position, either open or closed. This allows the maintenance team to safely and securely work on other parts of the system without concern that the valve will be accidentally actuated.

Wastewater Systems - Dissolved Air Flotation

VanAire - Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF)

The VanAire DAF design has a timeless approach to wastewater treatment; our exclusive aeration system combined with a durable design has outlasted even the closest competitors. VanAire’s wastewater pretreatment DAF technology is the most effective and reliable in the industry. Our MicroAire aeration technology and clarifier design maximize the removal of TSS, BOD, and FOG in all industrial wastewater streams. All VanAire DAF units feature our proprietary Breakout Valve that precisely controls the micro bubble cloud.

VanAire - Breakout Valves

The Aeration Pump discharges at 105psi, air is injected and dissolved in the Saturation Tank then carried to the Breakout Valve where a pressure drop is controlled by an adjustment of the handwheel on the Breakout Valve.  This pressure drop causes saturated air to come out of solution creating a fine bubble cloud.

VanAire - Air Vent Valves

A ball valve is mounted on top of each Saturation Tank. They vent a small amount of surplus air to avoid turbulence caused by large bubbles in the DAF.

VanAire - Rotameters

Injected air volume is adjusted and monitored with one Rotameter per Saturation Tank.

VanAire - Modular Wastewater Aeration Skids

Modular aeration skid, common to our 150gpm, 300gpm (shown), and 450gpm aeration units, has a footprint of “approximately” 6′ x 4′ and stands 6′ tall.

VanAire - Pump and Motor Subassemblies

100GPM and larger aeration pumps and motors are mounted on a subassembly which is attached to the main aeration skid via three spherical washers to reduce external force inputs that influence pump and motor alignment.
