Sheredding Sterilizers

Promed - Model P150 - Medical Waste Sterilizer System

The Promed P150 is a medical waste sterilization system designed specifically for clinics and small hospitals with a capacity of 33-70 kg per hour. The system incorporates a microwave-induced odor control system, a robust sterilization process, and an automatic elevator for convenient loading. It features a PLC-controlled shredder capable of grinding hard materials including surgical stainless steel instruments and ceramics. The system utilizes saturated steam to heat the waste to temperatures between 134°C and 138°C, effectively reducing pathogenic contamination by an 8 Log 10 value. The cooling phase uses cold air to lower the temperature of the sterilized waste, and the condensed sterile water is safely discharged. The Promed P150 also adheres to rigorous certifications by TUV Austria and conforms to EU Directives and Norms. This product addresses the needs of medical facilities aiming to efficiently manage waste while ensuring high standards of safety and hygiene.

Promed - Model A75 - Medical Waste Shredding and Sterilization System

The Promed A75 system is designed for use in clinics and small hospitals, providing an efficient and reliable solution for medical waste management. With a capacity of 75 kg/h (165 lbs/h), it supports simultaneous shredding and sterilization of waste materials, enhancing productivity. The system features a PLC-controlled shredder equipped with an anti-blocking mechanism, enabling it to handle even tough materials like surgical stainless steel instruments and hard ceramics effectively. The sterilization process employs microwave technology and saturated steam to achieve homogeneous chamber temperatures of 134°C to 138°C, significantly decreasing pathogenic contamination by an 8 Log 10 value. Certified by TUV Austria and compliant with EU Directives and Norms, the Promed A75's multi-stage process ensures thorough heating, cooling, and draining, making safe waste disposal possible. Designed according to EU PED, 2006/42/EC, and 2014/30/EU standards, this system provides a robust solution for medical waste treatment.

Promed - Model A150 - Medical Waste Shredding and Sterilization System

The Promed A150 is a specialized system designed for the efficient shredding and sterilization of medical waste in medium-sized hospitals. This system has a capacity of 150 kg/h (330 lbs/h) and features a multi-stage process to ensure effective decontamination. The initial loading phase is followed by shredding, where the shredder's anti-blocking feature allows the processing of hardened materials, including surgical stainless steel and ceramics. Shredding can be enhanced with microwave treatment via optional magnetron units. The sterilization process is achieved by saturating the waste with steam at 134°C to 138°C for 10 to 15 minutes, effectively reducing pathogen levels by an 8 Log 10 scale. Following sterilization, excess steam is removed and waste cooling occurs through cold air injection. The sterile condensate is safely drained. Certified by TUV Austria and compliant with several EU directives and norms, the Promed A150 offers reliable waste management solutions in healthcare settings.

Vertisa  - Double & Four Shaft Waste Shredders

Vertisa dual shaft and four shaft shredders are designed to shred medical waste containing difficult materials such as stainless steel surgical instruments and ceramics. The shredder, controlled by the PLC, changes its rotation direction due to the “anti-blocking” capability that prevents the blades from getting jammed. VERTISA shredders are driven by an electric powered motor with planetary reducers. The thickness of the cutting disks is between 15,3 mm and 60 mm which can be changed according to the required output sizes and waste types. Throughput sizes can be adjustable by changeable screens. The research and development department of VERTISA designs shredders for a variety of waste management applications. A special solution is developed “in-house” for shredding paper, cardboard packaging, cardboard tubes, hard drives, electronics, CDs & DVDs, industrial waste, hazardous waste, radioactive materials, organics, tires, steel drums, etc.
