Promed - Model A150 -Medical Waste Shredding and Sterilization System
The Promed A150 is a specialized system designed for the efficient shredding and sterilization of medical waste in medium-sized hospitals. This system has a capacity of 150 kg/h (330 lbs/h) and features a multi-stage process to ensure effective decontamination. The initial loading phase is followed by shredding, where the shredder's anti-blocking feature allows the processing of hardened materials, including surgical stainless steel and ceramics. Shredding can be enhanced with microwave treatment via optional magnetron units. The sterilization process is achieved by saturating the waste with steam at 134°C to 138°C for 10 to 15 minutes, effectively reducing pathogen levels by an 8 Log 10 scale. Following sterilization, excess steam is removed and waste cooling occurs through cold air injection. The sterile condensate is safely drained.
