VFP Industries prides itself on being the technical leader in the industry. Our corporate engineering team is responsible for the structural, mechanical, and electrical design for all VFP products. That capability also extends to the design details for equipment integration and installation within the shelters. Prior to production release, engineering prepares manufacturing drawings, long lead item lists, and a complete bill of materials for each shelter.

Typically, field service is associated with installation of shelters on site, assembling of modular units and installation of accessories and items removed to facilitate shipping. But VFP Field Service doesn’t end there. VFP Field Service personnel provide preventive maintenance services that can include HVAC filter change, re-lamping, generator service and more. Our service can be specific to each installation or it can even be extended to include additional site maintenance not directly associated with the shelter we provide. We understand that down the road, building modifications may be required. Upgrading HVAC equipment, adding ice shields, repairing damage, adding expansion modules and more are all areas that can be routinely handled by VFP Industries Field Service. Shelters present unique requirements when transporting to the site and the VFP transportation department is very familiar with these issues. Over width and overweight loads are the norm and require special permits and routing as well as dedicated over-the-road equipment. The VFP transportation department schedules the required trucks and trailers to accommodate your shelter. Coordination with each state’s Department of Transportation will establish the exact routing required based on loaded dimensions and weight, and the necessary permits will be obtained.

To support VFP Industries` production requirements, we added the capabilities to produce our own metal fabrication. With the capability for short or long run jobs, that operation can now provide a wide range of OEM services to the public.
