Energy-from-waste (also called waste-to-energy), converts the energy contained in waste into renewable energy:

Hazardous waste is a matter of concern to the environment and to society at large, and treating it appropriately is VINCI Environnement’s business. Hazardous waste comes from a wide variety of sources, including industrial production, oil residue, polluted ground, or, by extension, infectious medical waste. It comes in many forms: solid, semi-liquid or liquid. What they have in common is a high density of pollutants demanding special treatment processes unavailable in units designed to produce energy from municipal waste.

Biomethanisation Is a natural process in which bacteria break down organic matter in the absence of oxygen (also called anaerobic digestion). Biodegradable material is converted to a less, germfree compost and a biogas consisting mainly of methane. This high tech industrial process has been developed over several years in Europe, making it the most innovative ecological waste recovery solution.
