The vLoc3-Pro utility locator introduces new innovative tools for locating buried utilities assuring damage prevention while gathering information for analysis.

The vLoc3 RTK-Pro receiver is the first to add RTK GNSS accuracy to a utility locator. Using the RTK-Pro internal cellular module with 4G LTE capabilities, the operator has the ability to connect to NTRIP RTK (Real-Time Kinematic ) caster that provides RTCM 3 corrections. By utilizing these corrections, the operator can collect both utility location data along with the geographical location of the utility with survey-grade accuracy.

The vCamDrain features a Wi-Fi reel controlled by the vCam Mobile Controller (VMC) app. When connected to the reel by Wi-Fi, the VMC app controls the camera lights, distance counter reset, sonde and text writer. The app shows the reel’s Wi-Fi, battery, and charging status. Recording can be done directly to the app and instantly shared or copied to the reel’s USB port.

The vCam-6 HD inspection system from Vivax-Metrotech gives you the flexibility to cover a range of inspections including municipal collection systems, residential plumbing, indoor commercial lines, and lateral lines from three inches up to eight inches in diameter. The vCamMX-2+ all-in-one versatile and durable mini-inspection camera system can handle a range of inspections, including residential plumbing, indoor-commercial lines and lateral lines from 1-1/2 to 4 inches in diameter. The control module is housed in a rugged ABS injection-molded housing and mounted to a stainless-steel frame. It provides the latest high-definition imaging and recording technology. The stainless-steel Type-MX reel with lightweight carbon fiber pushrod drum can be used upright or horizontally. The reel’s pushrod is traceable using a utility locater transmitter. The three-frequency locatable sonde allows for precise location and accurate depth measurements. The vCamMX-2+ offers two user-changeable high-definition camera heads. The free vCam Mobile Controller app allows you to connect to a tablet or phone to record and instantly share files. The system is available in two lengths: 100 and 150 feet.

In our ever-changing landscape, important assets are buried or paved over making finding for them both difficult and time consuming. Valve and manhole covers are often lost after ground work activities, re-surfacing or after heavy snow falls. Buried boundary markers can also be difficult to find. Most of these items are manufactured using magnetic or ferrous materials. These can be detected using the VM-880. As it detects only ferrous materials, aluminum cans, bottle caps,  etc. are rejected.

The vLoc3-DM is used to precisely locate pipelines and assist in evaluating pipe coating defects. The system can be used on either transmission or distribution systems. A complete ACVG survey can be undertaken using the vLoc3-DM and plug-in A-frame. The display on the vLoc3-DM has been configured specifically for pipeline evaluation. Data can be graphed in real-time on the receiver while still on site. The walk back feature highlights the operator’s position on the graph allowing them to return to the point of interest where further evaluation or an ACVG, A-frame survey can be undertaken.
