For LPG and Ethylene carriers we offer services including engineering of complete cargo handling systems, tank design and supply cargo handling equipment such as reliquefaction and cooling systems for liquid gas, inert gas plants and nitrogen generator systems, deepwell and booster pumps. All equipment is designed and engineered in-house.

Wärtsilä Moss flue gas systems are vital systems to ensure a high level of safety for the vessels where they are installed. They are tailor made for use on board crude oil carriers and are designed based on compact modules, offering important savings in space and installation cost both for newbuildings and for retrofit on existing vessels.

Wärtsilä AQUARIUS UV Ballast Water Management System (BWMS) provides robust technology for the treatment of ballast water using a simple two stage process involving filtration and ultra-violet (UV) irradiation, across the full range of ship operating and environmental conditions. The system uses no active substances, is easy to integrate and maintain, and is type approved according to the IMO Convention and has an Alternative Management System (AMS) acceptance certificate from the USCG. It has also been verified for explosion proof (EX) requirements and can therefore be used on-board hazardous areas. Wärtsilä works in close cooperation with its customers, our BWMS partnership program covers all stages from fleet evaluation to lifecycle support. Our deepwell cargo pumps are the result of extensive research and have been developed specifically for LPG/ethylene, small LNG and combined LEG/chemical carriers.

The Membrane BioReactor (MBR) produces the highest quality discharge without requiring any addition or generation of chemicals that are hazardous to the environment or ship operation.

Low operating costs, reduced operational impact on the environment. Our scrubber system is based on the same technology as that used in Wärtsilä Hamworthy’s inert gas systems for more than 50 years. The system operates in an open loop utilising seawater to remove SOx from the exhaust.
