Customised furnishings – The right system

The Wesemann Group introduces itselfThe Wesemann group consists of an association of medium-sized companies, specialising in the development and manufacture of high-quality interior systems. With over 200 employees we produce high-end laboratory furnishings and interiors for science classrooms, and offices as well as high-end systems for workplaces, oriented on people and product protection.

Environmental management at Wesemann combines the international ISO 14001 with the European and EMAS III standardsEnvironmental protection and ecology are becoming increasingly important and have always been part of the corporate philosophy at Wesemann. Therefore we continue following this path systematically. This is why we decided to implement an environmental management system according to the European standard EMAS (short for Eco-Management and Audit Scheme) back in 2014. EMAS is considered the world’s top standard to be implemented in the field of environmental management systems. With this conscious decision we want to emphasize our objective to take over a pioneering role in our industry with regard to environmental protection and sustainability.
In June 2015 we successfully completed the implementation of EMAS. The EMAS certificate officially confirms our commitment and WESEMANN has now joined the circle of EMAS corporations.
First and foremost, an environmental management system supports the improvement of our environmental performance by providing us with a systematic framework. It not only completes our quality management system according to ISO 9001, which has already been in existence since 1996, as well as our industrial safety management system according to OHSAS 18001, but also extends our previous corporate policy towards a holistic corporate philosophy.
