The Wireline Telemetry Cartridge from Well-Sun serves as an intelligent interface between surface systems and downhole tools in logging operations. It integrates cable bus and tool bus interfaces, a master controller, and a step-down DC-DC power supply. The data acquisition system (DAS) retrieves data through the tool bus, packages it, and sends it to the surface panel via the cable bus interface. Additionally, the DAS can send data to the telemetry cartridge, allowing for control and configuration of the cartridge and logging tools, which facilitates full-duplex communication. Technical specifications include a maximum operating temperature of 175°C, pressure endurance up to 100MPa, and an adjustable transmission rate ranging from 50 kbps to 200 kbps. The system also features automatic identification of logging tools and can convert high voltage from the cable bus to a lower voltage for the tool bus using a DC-DC module. Power specifications include a maximum of 200VDC and 2200mA. The tool segments the casing, cement annulus, and formation into six areas for detailed analysis. It features sensors that are pressed against the well wall, ensuring high measurement accuracy, unaffected by external factors like casing fouling, micro annulus, formation speed, or changes in mud properties. The SBT generates a comprehensive cement image, depicting grooves and voids with precision. The tool also includes a Variable Density Log (VDL) at the bottom of the tool string that captures the full wave train, analyzing the bond between the formation and cement annulus. Incorporating a Casing Collar Locator (CCL) and Gamma Ray Tool (GRT), it provides accurate depth information for the acoustic signals. The SBT is specifically used to measure cement bond quality at both the first and second interfaces – between casing and cement annulus, and between cement annulus and formation. Additionally, it facilitates gamma ray measurements for precise depth correction.
