2010

Zehnder Group (UK) launches Zehnder Retail Division

Zehnder Group (UK) is strengthening its operation in the UK merchant and showroom market with the introduction of the Zehnder brand which will incorporate the current Acova product portfolio from 1st February 2010.

Zehnder (retail) will focus on distributing innovative, well designed, towel radiators and heating products through bathroom and kitchen showrooms and the merchant network. The exciting portfolio will incorporate products previously sold as Acova as well as new additions from the Zehnder range.

Allan Jones, Head of Zehnder Retail Division, says: “By optimising the synergies of these two strong brands, we can offer positive advantages to our customers in terms of service and value.”

2007
At the ISH trade fair in Frankfurt, Zehnder exhibited its range of products as a provider for heating, cooling and fresh air. The energy-efficient system innovations with design include the new air distribution Zehnder Onfloor, the towel radiator Villeroy & Boch by Zehnder Planus and the ceiling heating systems ZBN.

2005
With the product family Dualis, Zehnder is setting new standards in radiator design. The steel radiator with an aluminum front has a large proportion of pleasant radiant heat and is suitable for bathrooms, living areas as well as buildings. The innovation has been awarded the Design Plus.

Start of a collaboration with Villeroy & Boch:
bathroom radiators matched by designers to the series from Villeroy & Boch will be marketed under the co-brand Villeroy & Boch by Zehnder.

1923
The brothers Walter and Robert Zehnder developed and built a light motorcycle that was manufactured in large numbers for many years.

Change and continuous refinement are key factors and strengths of the Zehnder Group.

From 1930 onwards, after giving up the motorcycle production, the Zehnder Group has developed into a leading, global-active radiator manufacturer. During the 1990s, many business activities were alienated in favour of clear focussing on the core business: radiators. These visions and their consequent implementation have contributed to the long-term, satisfying development of Zehnder Group.

However, that was and is not the end of the process of continuous innovation. Since the beginning of the new century, we have transformed ourselves from a pure radiator company to a provider of a comfortable room climate. The advance in the area of the so-called silent cooling using our radiant ceiling panels and our new business area of comfort ventilation are an expression of our vision.

Both these initiatives supplement the - already varied - product range (bathroom radiators, radiators made-to-measure, electrical radiators) in an ideal manner. More and more, the Zehnder Group is thus developing into a synonym for warmth and a comfortable, healthy indoors atmosphere.

Leading market position

Zehnder Group strives for a leading position in the markets that it operates in. I.e. the Zehnder Group wants to always belong to the best three companies in the world in its areas of business.

We utilise all our assets to obtain the greatest results.

We continuously develop new and successful products. The list of our innovations is becoming ever longer, and we are recognized in the market as an innovation leader. We are expanding our already strong sales organisation further - whether in countries where we are already active, or in new countries. We have the best qualified sales staff for customer support and consultancy. There are modern information and information technology gadgets available to the sales teams, which are currently being expanded in a project lasting several years. We keep our modern production facility state-of-the-art. We continuously invest in machines and plant. At the same time, we are developing new manufacturing technologies to be able to produce our products even more cost-effectively and with even better quality. We are quality-and environment-conscious. Our factories are ISO 9000 certified. In those rare cases where we work with potentially environmentally harmful materials, we have taken the maximum possible precautionary measures and are also certified according to the environment audit ISO 14001. We are working actively on also certifying our other factories accordingly. We manufacture in a sustainable fashion - and our products are sustainable. Products from the house of the Zehnder Group - provided they are used or operated in a technically correct manner - have a life of several decades. Our radiators are made mainly from steel or aluminium, which can be easily recycled. Because our products should, during their active useful life, serve to provide warmth and comfort and it should be possible to later dispose of them without difficulty.

Long-term and profitable growth

Zehnder Group strives to achieve long-term, profitable growth. We achieve this primarily through organic growth. In addition, we also collaborate in many different ways with third parties or carry out takeovers - especially if this means to promise more success to us.

Zehnder Design radiators design living space. Designed by renowned international designers, they stand for a modern and self-conscious savoir-vivre. They blend perfectly into the current lifestyles like the country house ambience, minimalistic purism, classic style or colorful modern trends.

From the basement to the roof: Whether bathrooms, kitchens, bedrooms or guest washrooms, we always have the suitable design radiator. Be choosy: Zehnder design radiators are available in more than 700 colors and surfaces. Moreover, we can always make special shapes for you: whether angled, curved or slanted.

At Zehnder, the subject of design is firmly anchored in the company philosophy. As a pioneer in the sector, in 1980, we heralded the birth of the bathroom radiator with the Zehnder Universal.

At the beginning of the 90's Zehnder Arcus followed, the first radiator that was defined as a design object. A couple of years later, the Zehnder Yucca heralded another era: for the first time, towels could be hung even from the side without any problems.

A designer bathroom as a uniform whole: that is the idea of the design cooperation with Villeroy and Boch, which started in 2004. The Villeroy & Boch by Zehnder bathroom radiators were tailored to the lifestyles and bathrooms by Villeroy & Boch. In 2005 warmth once again got a new shape.

The Dualis series combined two materials for the first time. It thus gave the radiator a new wavy look. Horizontal and vertical models allow unlimited options, from towel radiators in the bathroom to living area radiators in a loft.

We know what we are talking about when we say: 'Life is Style!' And you can depend on the fact that Zehnder design radiators represent a high quality lifestyle product that forms worlds of living with its shapes.
