The AMI-300Lite was designedspecifically for the price-conscious customerswith applications that are more routine or lessdemanding. As always, full automation andpowerful data-handling software assure dataaccuracy and improve laboratory efficiency.The AMI-300Lite is a fully automated,atmospheric pressure system. Throughsoftware control, it can switch gas streams,control gas flow rates, control temperatureand temperature ramps, and collectdesorption data in order to quantify theadsorption and desorption of gas moleculesfor a catalyst surface.To improve the quality of data, theAMI-300Lite utilizes a high-precisionelectronic mass flow controller for both thecarrier and treatment gases. This ensuresconstant treatment flow and a stable baselinewith changing temperatures. Dead volume isminimize by using 1/16 inch plumbing inorder to reduce peak spreading. The furnacecan heat the sample to 1000°C and iscapable of linear temperature ramps from1°C/minute to 30°C/minute.The AMI-300Lite is fitted with a highly linearthermal conductivity detector (TCD).
