(604) 517-39001CT-1000 SINGLE CHANNEL CONTROLLERINTRODUCTION: The Model CT-1000 is a single channel controller featuring low and high adjustablealarm point relays. The enclosure is rugged, cast aluminum NEMA rated. The low maintenance solidstate electronic circuitry operates from a 115 VAC or 24 VAC source. The dry contact alarm relays arerated for 5 amps @ 115 VAC and can be configured normally open or normally closed. In addition, theclosure can be time delayed and the activation points are user adjustable. A variety of sensor types suchas can be connected to the CT-1000 controller. Sensorsmay be connected directly to the controller enclosure or mounted remotely.solid state, electrochemical, or catalytic bead6.8801 23.1202.240MODEL CT-1000SINGLECHANNELCONTROLLERATI AirTest Technologies, Inc#9, 1520 Cliveden AvenueDelta, B.C. Locate a flat surface to mount the enclosure so that the sensor can face downward.3. Mount the enclosure to the wall using the two mounting hole locations.4. Connect the electrical fittings to the enclosure and bring in the electrical wires. NOTE: BESURE WIRING IS DONE ACCORDING TO THE LOCAL ELECTRICAL CODEREQUIREMENTS.5. Connect the wires to the removable connector blocks. Re-connect the enclosure lid.1. If the unit is a 115 VAC model apply power to AC HOT, AC NEUT & GND at TM1. If the unit isa 24 VAC model apply power to AC HOT & AC NEUT at TM1. If the unit is controlling aremote sensor, be sure it is connected as shown in the attached diagrams. The power LED willcome on after about 5 seconds as the sensor warms up. If the power LED does not come on,then either the sensor is faulty, not connected properly or there is no power to the sensor. Thepower LED is actually monitoring the sensor output and is looking for a minimum signal to bepresent.2. During the first minute all alarms may activate and then de-activate3. When using solid state sensors wait 24 hours before attempting alarm relay adjustments , ifother sensor types are used, adjustments can be made after a few minutes. The relayconnectors may be disconnected during this time if desired so as not to have false alarms.2CT-1000 SINGLE CHANNEL CONTROLLERATI AirTest Technologies, Inc#9, 1520 Cliveden AvenueDelta, B.C. If the unit has been without power for lessthan 20 minutes, then only a 10-minute wait is required.2. Open the enclosure and let the lid hang so that the LED indicator lamps can be viewed. The lidcan be removed by unplugging the LED indicator lamp connector and using the relay indicatorlamps for calibration.3. Disconnect the relay connectors (TM2, TM3) so that motors and/or alarms are not being turnedoff and on4. Set SW1, time delay setting for alarm 1, to 0 (zero).5. Turning the alarm adjustment potentiometers RV1 and RV2 clockwise will activate the alarmrelay. Turning counterclockwise will de-activate the alarm relays.6. Use a calibration flow rate of 0.2 to 0.6 SCFH. Apply the gas mixture for two minutes beforeadjusting the alarm point. Note: The calibration mixture must be AIR based not Nitrogenbased.7. Apply a test gas mixture to the sensor equal to the level required for the LOW alarm point.Adjust alarm 1 clockwise (RV1) so that the relay 1 LED comes on. (Yellow LED on front cover).8. Apply a test gas mixture to the sensor equal to the level required for the HIGH alarm point.Adjust alarm 2 clockwise (RV2) so that the relay 2 LED comes on. (Red LED on front cover).9. Set time delay setting for alarm 1 to desired setting. (SW1). Each number increment addsapproximately 2 minutes delay to the activation of the alarm 1 relay. NOTE: During this timedelay (when activated), the indicator lamp for alarm 1 will flash.10. Connect the alarm relay connectors (if removed) also the LED connector (if removed) andinstall the enclosure lid.3CT-1000 SINGLE CHANNEL CONTROLLERATI AirTest Technologies, Inc#9, 1520 Cliveden AvenueDelta, B.C.
