INTERSCIENCE is an independent family shareholder, all of the profits from which are reinvested in the company, particularly in research and development.

The vision of a human and innovative company

Driven by the entrepreneurial spirit and passionate about industrial creation, François Jalenques, French physicist and entrepreneur, founded INTERSCIENCE in 1979.

Its ambition: to create products of excellent quality, to shine internationally and to offer an irreproachable service . First of all, he promotes the innovative Spiral method, which automates the routine work of bacterial enumeration.

Its model is also social. François Jalenques decides to set up his business in the heart of Cantal , the cradle of his family origins, to revitalize a corner deserted by industry .

A global benchmark

In 2012, the brothers Emmanuel and Jules Jalenques took over the company by perpetuating this vision of a pleasant working environment, respectful of the environment and at the service of the people who work there.

The company currently employs 130 people deployed at sites in France, Germany, USA, Singapore, China and Japan. We export our production at 80% thanks to a young and multilingual sales team which coordinates a strong network of distributors in more than 130 countries .

The company has become a world reference as a manufacturer in the microbiology sector .

Dynamism in R&D, more than 30 patents filed internationally

Innovation and attention to detail have driven the R&D teams since the company`s origins. From the Spiral method to the launch of the ScanStation, a multi-award-winning product, INTERSCIENCE continues to innovate.

To date, the company has to its credit around thirty patented innovations of French manufacture.

Products fully developed and produced in France

INTERSCIENCE manufactures and markets all of its products . Established since 1994 in Puycapel in Cantal, in central France, the plant includes 6,000 m2 of R&D center, production plant and storage center. It actively participates in the revitalization of employment in a rural area .

The site is integrated into a natural and wooded landscape. INTERSCIENCE has an approach that respects the local landscape and the environment: selective sorting and recycling of waste, heating with wood sourced in the immediate vicinity of the plant, recovery of rainwater, etc.
