Special lightinitiators in the resins ensure thatthe intended reaction occurs. Inthe resins being used, UV light canonly induce polymerisation whenfree radicals are present.Exposure to UV light causes the"photoinitiator molecules" to de-compose into the radicals that arerequired for the polymerisationprocess.
