Briquette Cutter BS 350 has been manufactured as complementary equipment for our briquetting presses in order to enable us to offer our customers a complete solution regarding our briquet-ting press system.During the last few years we have observed an increase in sale of briquettes to private customers, and this trend makes demands for bet-ter briquette quality and a uniform length in order to ?t into a package.The BS 350 has been constructed as a ”?ying” cutter as it seizes the ”briquette body”, and is continuously moved forward by strokes from the briquetting press with the result that we cut briquettes while the briquet-ting press is working, and the capac-ity of the press will not be in?uenced by this cutting. When the cutting has come to an end, the cutter is moved back to its start position by a pneu-matic cylinder. The cutter has been built up on tem-pered and grinded bars with scraper sealings, which prevent the chips to come into the bars. This guarantees long durability of the bars.As a briquetting press punches hard through the die, it is necessary to have a cooling line with a length of 30-50 metres, before the Briquette Cutter is placed. The long unbroken briquette in the cooling line works as a shock absorber and guarantees a quiet movement of the Briquette Cutter. At the same time the bri-quette has been cooled down, which gives the briquette the suf?cient strength to be cut and handled.On the very Briquette Cutter Unit we use a very small saw blade with hard metal peaks, then only a small number of dust is left over to be sucked away from the cutting proc-ess. The dust can be sucked back into the silo and be reused. The large diameter on the saw blade guaran-tees a long durability of saw blade.The BS 350 has been constructed as a separate unit, which can be con-nected new as well as old installa-tions. As a consequence of our high claims to security the cutter has been totally encased with shields, however these shields can be opened at front, when the cutter has been disconnected.
