IWWA focuses basically on the entire “Water Cycle” encompassing the environmental, social, institutional and financing issues. Founded in 1968 with headquarters at Mumbai, IWWA now has 32 centers spread across the country and is very active in conducting different activities in the areas of Water Supply and Wastewater Treatment and Disposal. IWWA has a membership of more than 9000 professionals spread all over the country and abroad. IWWA brings out a quarterly Journal and a bi-monthly newsletter called Mid-stream. The Annual Convention is generally hosted by the Centre across the Country. The convention attracts large number of professionals from all over the country and also from the World over. The convention provides a platform for its members as well as for academicians, industry to exchange their views and brings in expertise from abroad.
