Ecological characteristics Thanks to the specific biochemical mechanism of diflubenzuron, the use of DIFLOX COMPRESSE does not cause undesirable side-effects on other organisms that may be present in application sites (such as fish, reptiles, amphibians, birds and mammals). Compatibility To take advantage of the ecological properties and selectivity of this product it is advisable not to mix it with other insecticides. Main target insect-pests DIFLOX COMPRESSE is effective against all larval phases of mosquitoes, chironomid midges and simulidate in their development environment. Areas of application DIFLOX COMPRESSE is suitable to be used in places that become larvae reproduction centres in urban and tourist environments. In particular, DIFLOX COMPRESSE should be used inside sewage access points, manholes, ornamental fountains, waste water drains, temporarily flooded areas and all other places and object that can withhold rainwater. Nona Strada 55/57 35129 Padova Italia Usage rates Depending on the quantity of water to be treated and on the presence of organic matter, DIFLOX COMPRESSE must be used as follows: ? in clear waters: 1 tablet every 500-1000 litres water; ? in waters with heavy presence of organic matter or thick vegetation: 1 tablet every 400-500 litres water To treat sewage channels, drains and manholes where the water exchange cannot be calculated, the recommended rate is 1 tablet per access point. Moreover, it is important to check that the tablet actually gets in touch with water once inside the sewage access. Active ingredient toxicity Diflubenzuron is little toxic to warm-blooded animals: DIFLUBENZURON LD50 acute oral rat 4640 mg/kg LD50 acute dermal rat >10000 mg/kg Warning For the proper use of this product, follow the instructions given on the product label.
