IMS - Model RJD-2000 - Dry Media Emergency Chlorine Scrubber System - Brochure
The RJD-2000 emergency chlorine scrubber is the next generation in emergency chlorine scrubber technology. It uses a new high capacity, non-hazardous dry adsorbent media to absorb up to 1-Ton of chlorine vapor, at leak rates up to 78 lbs/min as required by the Uniform Fire Code. The RJD-2000 system is designed to maintain negative pressure in the chlorination and chlorine storage rooms, while limiting the atmospheric release of chlorine to less than 1 ppm. The factory-assembled RJD-2000 system is the most compact dry chlorine scrubber available, with low profile suitable for either indoor or outdoor installation. It is designed by Roop Jain, the founder of RJ Environmental, and a renowned leader and innovator in chlorine scrubber technology for the last 25 years.RJD-2000MAJOR SYSTEMCOMPONENTS ? The exhaust fan continuously draws the chlorine-laden air through the media bed in the scrubber vessel. The chlorine gas is first adsorbed by the media, and then reacts with the media to neutralize the chlorine vapor into inert solids trapped in the media. The cleaned air is discharged to the atmosphere. For safety, the system continues to operate until the system is manually turned off by an operator. SYSTEM FEATURES Factory-assembled, Packaged SystemMinimum Installation Cost and TimeSuperior Performance Dry MediaNon-Hazardous Media No Chemical Leak Containment RequirementAutomatic and Manual OperationLow Cost of MaintenanceSYSTEM BENEFITS ? System is assembled, piped, wired and tested at factory ? Enables better quality control at the factory ? Easier transportation, handling and installation ? Duty/Standby fan option available ? Installation time of less than 8 hours ? Installation requires only provision of concrete pad, inlet ductwork, utility connections, and loading of media ? Next generation Chlorosorb® Ultra media ? Highest chlorine capacity in the marketplace at > 15% by weight ? Chlorosorb® Ultra dry media is stable and non-toxic in both its new and spent forms ? Landfill disposable ? No handling of hazardous chemicals required ? No caustic deposits and acid washing to worry about ? Eliminates the requirement for chemical spill containment or double wall vessel construction ? No liquid lines ? System can run in manual mode for maintenance purposes and in fully automatic mode for standby emergency operation emergency operation ? Minimal maintenance and operator requirements ? No acid washing and chemical replacement costs ? No pumps, only moving part is exhaust fan ?
