DYNATEC SYSTEMS INC. The Wastewater Membrane Specialist 909 Jacksonville Rd · Burlington, NJ 08016 · 609-387-0330 · 609-387-2060 fax · dynatecsystems.com CLEANING CHEMICALS Dynatec Systems, Inc. offers the following chemicals for cleaning and pretreatment for membrane systems. These chemicals have been blended specifically for use with wastewater treatment membrane filtration systems. They are extremely well proven and effective. The membrane cleaning products are: Memcleen An alkaline membrane cleaning chemical for use for removal of organic and biological contaminants including oil, grease, tar and wax. This cleaner can be used for UF, NF and RO systems. This is a very cost effective product. The normal mix concentration is 1% in water. Memcleen A This is a very effective cleaner for mineral scale removal particularly iron or scale from water hardness. This is an acid-based cleaner already buffered for use without pH adjust-ment. The cleaner also contains other compounds to aid in the removal of foulants from a membrane system. The normal mix concentration is 3% in water. Memcleen B This is a cleaner for removal of organic fouling. It is a high solvency caustic cleaning solu-tion normally used at 1-2% mix concentration. This cleaner does not contain any chelating agents. Memcleen E This is a product designed for removal of severe mineral scale fouling. It is heavily chelat-ed. This product is used at a concentration of 2-4% in water. Memcleen S This is a very effective product for removal of silicone fouling. The product is used at up to a 10% concentration in water, depending on the severity of the fouling. Dynatec also offers a number of pretreatment chemicals: Mem CB This is an anti-complexing agent used to break metal complexes and is particularly effec-tive in the presence of EDTA. This product, ahead of a UF or MF system, allows metals to be precipitated and removed by the membrane. It is used at concentrations in the range of 200-500 ppm. The chemistry used is less toxic than DTC-based chemicals, and subject to permit conditions, can be used in ground water or surface water systems. MemSperse This is an antiscalant that is particularly effective ahead of both UF and RO systems. When hard water or other inorganic scaling causes poor performance and frequent clean-ings, this product will extend time between cleanings, improve system performance, and make the performance much more predictable. It is used on RO systems at up to 10 ppm and on UF systems at up to 200 ppm.
