CapabilityStatement NATURALENVIRONMENT The natural environment – our farmlands, mountains, heaths, wetlands, forests, coasts and seas - underpins our economic prosperity, our health and our wellbeing. We rely on the natural environment for our food, our water and the materials to build and fuel our homes and it is an endless source of wonder and delight that contributes to our national identity and to more local perceptions of community and place. Despite these benefits being so fundamental, the importance of the natural environment is often overlooked and there has been a protracted decline in environment quality and resilience, over which most people feel they have little control.At LDA Design we understand the complex and often competing pressures placed on the natural environment as a result of increasing population, economic growth and climate change. We are at the forefront of assessing and planning terrestrial, coastal and marine environments. Through our work with public, private and third sector clients we have developed an extensive portfolio that demonstrates positive and sustainable solutions for managing our precious natural resources and landscape and seascape assets.
