The annual Valpak membership fee covers the administration costs of running the scheme and providing our services. See overleaf for our current membership fees.PRNs are also purchased on your behalf to provide evidence that you have covered the costs of recovering and recycling an equivalent amount of packaging to offset your obligation. Packaging ComplianceMembership FeesMembership fees cover the administration costs of checking and verifying your data and purchasing the necessary evidence to offset your obligation. Packaging compliance members pay a flat membership fee based on the level of their obligation which is invoiced quarterly across the year.Membership Fee BandingsMembership Fee Bandings£400 SME£500 0 - 400 tonnes£750 401 - 1,000 tonnes£1,000 1,001 - 2,000 tonnes£1,500 2,001 - 4,000 tonnes£2,500 > 4,000 tonnesPlease note that SME refers to small producers who have chosen to submit via the ‘small producer allocation method’. Any producer who has a gross annual turnover of less than £5 million and handles over 50 tonnes of packaging is deemed, under the Packaging Waste Regulations, as a “small producer”.
