Fire resistant wallsSeveral independent fi re safety reports confi rm the eminentsuitability of Legioblock®k for fi re-resistant applications.® These reports show that a wall built from Legioblock®kkblocks, only degrades marginally when exposed to fi re. It achieves a fi re-resistance rating of at least 4 hours. The temperature rise on the non-exposed side of the concretewall is so low, that fi re propagation through heat transfer cannot take place. Furthermore, a Legioblock®kk wall ®stabilises the stored materials, thereby preventing the fi re from spreading horizontally. Even in persistent fi res that lastedfor several days, Legioblock®k walls retained their integrity®and prevented the fi re from spreading to neighbouringbuildings or storage facilities. In view of its capabilities, the Legioblock®kk design offers an outstanding solution for fl exible®and fi re-safe site partitioning.
