The Centridry® combines centrifuge dewatering with a thermally efficient flash dryingstage in one unit. A conventional centrifuge has been modified to include anadditional thermal jacket into which the dewatered cake is discharged. Hot gas,driven by a re-circulating fan, dries and pneumatically transports the sludge to thecyclone where the dried product is separated from the vapour stream and dischargedto the product outloading stage. The product free vapour is returned to the hot gasgenerator for re-heating with excess vapour being drawn off via a condenser stageprior to discharge to atmosphere.
