HF Pure Water is uniquely suited to ad-dress this issue with its line of Vacuum Dis-tillation systems. With the HF Vacuum Dis-tillation system, influent water is collected and evaporated in a vacuum chamber thereby reducing the boiling temperature below 100 degrees Fahrenheit (38° Celsi-us). Distillation at this lower than normal temperature is accomplished more effi-ciently thereby saving on energy costs. The vacuum chamber environment allows for the recovery of solvents for re-use as op-posed to disposal. Because of their lower heat of vaporization requirements, the energy needed for distilla-tion of MEK and NMP (484kj/kg and 510kj/kg respectively) is less than that of water (2,409kj/kg), making distillation and recovery of these solvents for re-use extremely effi-cient.
