Our new Cambridgeshire Approved Authorised Treatment Facility (AATF) combines state-of-the-art equipment and manual operations to maximise the reuse and recycling of all types of WEEE including: • Computers and IT equipment • Televisions • Refrigeration units • Large household appliances • Small appliances • Lamps • Batteries • Toner cartridgesOur operations are designed around the waste hierarchy so we prioritise waste minimisation and reuse where viable. Where possible, we have a zero to land?ll approach, achieving a reuse and recycling rate of over 98%.WISER Recycling also provides complete recycling and disposal services for businesses in the local area including o?ce paper and cardboard, packaging and metals. Our processes• Closed-loop lamp recycling – we operate one of the only European plants to deliver closed-loop recycling for ?uorescent tubes and other lamps• CRT recycling – we use innovative technology that enables us to separate and recover the lead glass, clear glass and phosphor in computer monitors and television screens• WEEE reuse – as ?rst and foremost a reuse company, we screen all suitable items for reuse potential and repair these for resale directly or through our charity partners• WEEE recycling – all WEEE unsuitable for reuse is manually de-manufactured or put through the WEEE process line to ensure that all remaining materials are recycled• Con?dential data destruction – computers and IT equipment sent for reuse are wiped to US Department of Defence standards before software is reloaded and the equipment is PAT tested • Con?dential shredding – equipment containing data including servers, PCs and data media as well as con?dential paper are securely shredded and the materials recovered for recycling• Fridge de-gassing – where reuse is not appropriate, fridges and other refrigeration units are de-gassed under controlled conditions to remove the hazardous gasesT: 0845 894 9979E: info@wisergroup.co.ukW: www.wiserrecycling.co.ukWISER RecyclingWISER Recycling provides reuse, recycling and disposal services for all types of waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) across the UK.
