7th SETAC Africa Conference 2015
This 7th SETAC Africa conference, will be held in conjunction with the Horizon Scanning Workshop. The Global Horizon Scanning Research Prioritization Project aims to collect and prioritize the most important future research questions as recognized by scientists from around the globe working in government, academia and business. This workshop will be a unique opportunity to identify research priorities for Africa in the area of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry. The conference scientific sessions will be closely related to the workshop and will be attended by over 300 toxicologists from academia, industries and government all over Africa and beyond who will explore the diverse areas of science encompassed by environmental toxicology and chemistry.
Authors are invited to submit an abstract for oral or poster presentation by Saturday 1 August 23:59h South-Africa Standard Time.
Scientific Committee will select accepted abstracts by 15 August.
Abstracts can be submitted to the following sessions:
- Aquatic Toxicology and Ecology
- Environmental and Analytical Chemistry
- Genetically Modified Products and Sustainability
- Integrated Environmental Assessment and Management
- Linking Science and Social Issues
- Terrestrial and Wildlife Toxicology and Ecology
- Remediation and Restoration
Guidelines for abstract submission:
- Abstract must not promote a commercial product, process, or service.
- Abstract should be clear and well written.
- Authors should comply with instructions and deadlines provided with the call for abstracts.
- The abstract should contain information and/or data that demonstrates that high quality science will be presented.
- Information in the abstract should not have been previously published or presented.
- By submitting an abstract you are agreeing to and understand that all presenters must pay for registration and attend the meeting.
- The title should be no longer than 200 characters, while the abstract is limited to 2500 characters (INCLUDING SPACES).
