SETAC Europe 35th Annual Meeting - 2025

SETAC holds meetings and workshops in person and virtually around the globe. Our events provide a forum for environmental professionals for the exchange of information and ideas, collaboration and networking. SETAC is dedicated to advancing environmental science and science-informed decision-making through collaboration, communication, education and leadership. SETAC North America 45th Annual Meeting

Oct. 20-24, 2024 Fort Worth

The largest gathering of environmental professionals this side of the Atlantic, the SETAC North America 45th Annual Meeting will be held from 20–24 October in Fort Worth, Texas. Participants will be able to benefit from five days packed with scientific sessions, plenaries, courses, seminars and other exhibitor and networking events. SETAC Asia-Pacific 14th Biennial Meeting

Sep. 21-25, 2024 Tianjin

The SETAC Asia-Pacific 14th Biennial Meeting encourages the exchange of innovative research findings, methods, and best practices to help address emerging environmental issues. The biennial meeting aims to provide a platform for scientists, researchers, policymakers, environmental professionals and students to exchange ideas and solutions to address environmental issues in the Asia-Pacific region and globally. As the conference organizer, Nankai University cordially invites experts and scholars worldwide, especially from the Asia-Pacific region, to gather in Tianjin, China, and participate in this event.

SETAC Asia/Pacific 2016 Conference

Sep. 16-19, 2016 Singapore

This 3-day international conference, convened by SETAC Asia-Pacific at the National University of Singapore (NUS), brings together scientists, assessors, regulators and managers from government, industry, and academia to meet the challenge of managing environmental quality in the Asian Century. The conference will facilitate knowledge sharing and discussion of emerging research, regulatory developments, and the latest methodologies in environmental toxicology and chemistry, driving development of science-based strategy and policy to meet both known and emerging challenges in managing and sustaining the quality of the environment in this rapidly developing region.

7th SETAC Africa Conference 2015

Oct. 5-8, 2015 Langebaan

This 7th SETAC Africa conference, will be held in conjunction with the Horizon Scanning Workshop. The Global Horizon Scanning Research Prioritization Project aims to collect and prioritize the most important future research questions as recognized by scientists from around the globe working in government, academia and business. This workshop will be a unique opportunity to identify research priorities for Africa in the area of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry. The conference scientific sessions will be closely related to the workshop and will be attended by over 300 toxicologists from academia, industries and government all over Africa and beyond who will explore the diverse areas of science encompassed by environmental toxicology and chemistry.

SETAC Latin America 11th Biennial Meeting 2015

The objective of the SETAC Latin America 11^th Biennial Meeting, “The Role of Science in Environmental Decision-Making” is to continue with the series of SETAC Latin America meetings and to promote the interaction among Latin American professionals engaged in environmental science with colleagues from other parts of the world. We wish to stimulate education and participation of students and to facilitate scientific exchanges among the academic, business and government sectors.

The society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry (SETAC) is a not-for profit, global professional society established in 1979 to provide a forum for individuals and institutions engaged in education, research and development, ecological risk assessment and life-cycle assessment, chemical manufacture and distribution, management and regulation of natural resources, and the study, analysis, and solution of environmental problems. SETAC is an open and democratic organisation that operates in a broad social context, reflecting the needs of the environment and people. Application of sound science plays a key role in this process. Membership worldwide comprises about 5500 professionals in the field of chemistry, toxicology, biology, and ecology: atmospheric, health, and earth sciences; and environmental engineering.
