DCL’s Non-Blocking Diesel Particulate Filter Achieves Excellent Particulate Matter (PM) Reduction

July 7, 2006, Concord, Ontario - DCL International Inc., a global leader in emission control solutions has manufactured a newly patent-pending, non-blocking diesel particulate filter called MINE-X® Ultra. The exciting new technology achieves greater reductions of diesel particulate matter (DPM) than a standard retrofit Diesel Oxidation Catalyst (DOC), without the risk of clogging found with other particulate filters. DCL’s non-blocking diesel particulate filters are used to meet EPA or CARB standards for particulate reduction or to improve air quality around diesel engines.

The MINE-X® Ultra has been installed in a number of sites across the United States and Europe, including Harvard University for their fleet vehicles as part of their Green Campus Initiatives. Vehicles successfully retrofitted with the MINE-X® Ultra include taxis, shuttle busses, racing trucks and construction vehicles.

The MINE-X® Ultra can be used in engine applications or vehicle types for on-road, construction, earthmoving and material handling. The MINE-X® Ultra is ideal for retrofit on diesel engines where wall-flow particulate filters are unsuitable, including light duty cycle, older and two-stroke engines. The MINE-X® Ultra is also suitable for new engines where a moderate particulate reduction is required for achieving engine certification.
