Sweeping first time air pollution rules for refineries

Below is a post from AP about two important actions being taken by EPA. Here’s the main points being made:
- Refineries will be made to measure emissions at their property lines and take corrective actions. EPA considers this "neighborhood watch for toxic pollutants" (Gina McCarthy, EPA Administrator)
- This is a demonstration of the Obama administration`s commitment to "environmental justice" (Gina McCarthy, EPA Administrator)
- Today we expect to see additional sweeping charges that look to lower the current ozone standard from 75 ppb to 70 ppb
